In an experimental part of our rewilding programme, we are testing how strips respond to different cutting and maintenance regimes.

 

Dr. Paul Sterry has programmed a series of treatments: some strips we cut every year, others every two years.  In some we lay down green hay from Paul's SINC site in September/ October. Other test strips are simply left alone.

 

Our experiment will help us see which treatments work best to improve floral biodiversity.
